hi there forum. I am a newbie. I have a 2006 eiger. when I try to start with the electric start, I get nothing but clicking at the relay. I hear nothing at the starter. I pulled the starter and through 12 to it and it works. but when I try the electric start I get zip......I don't get it. I also tried to just throw a straight 12 directly to the starter while in the atv and it at least made noise but wouldn't turn over. I can, however, pull start it. any help out there will definitely help. he said if I can get it to run, it's mine!! thanks for your time.

 

Usually if you eliminate the starter that leaves the starter solenoid.

is there a solenoid? I am used to working on cars and trucks and the solenoid is on top of the starter. the relay clicks, so that is a sign it works. thanks

 

yes there is. follow the positive cable from the battery. It runs to the solenoid. I believe it is under the seat.
