New to ATV(although not to bikes) in NNJ
Howdy folks!
I'm shopping for my first quad and am basically in need of a utility quad of at least 500cc's as I tip the scales at a little over 3 bills myself. I am interested in either a Honda or a Polaris based on reputation for quality and durability.
I have around 4K to spend and it will replace my snowblower this year. I will also use it for hunting at some point but right now the plowing is my main concern.
I am looking at 2 500cc Foreman's next w/e and like that they are Hondas and all that that means.
Any thoughts on a best plow for either that or a Polaris 500cc Sportsman?
Thanks!
BD

All the major brands have plows for sales leading quads like the Sportsman 500 and Honda Foreman. The Polaris will have a good bit more power than the Foreman and a low gear that is a stump puller. Not sure how low the Foreman goes. Depends on which transmission it has. 5 speed has a good first gear. 3 speed isn't geared as low. Polaris will have better traction as it weighs more and has full 4wd. Honda has a limited slip front end. So, I'd take the Sportsman for plowing. It also has a super comfortable ride. I went from a Sportsman X2 500 to my present Outlander. I honestly liked the ride on the Sportsman X2 better.
