Default Newbie in the Black Hills, SD

Been coming to the Black Hills for years to ride the Harleys with wife.. To go with our new summer home I bought a Jeep Wrangler to leave here, have one in Florida as well.. Bought my first ever ATV a few days ago, its a 03 Trail Boss 330, got it out on the trails the other day, now bitten by another bug! Last night I committed to buy a 2015 ACE 570 with 5 hours on it. Plan is that will be for my wife, and I will use the little 330 when we both go out until I can figure out what to get myself. The 330 was really bought to pull a cart around the property. I'm all over the place, Another ACE (a 900 maybe) a 2 seater maybe. Maybe she won't like the off road thing and I'll just keep the 570 for myself... Unfortunately, it's getting too chilly for my Florida blood and I'll be outta here in two weeks until May. Here's a couple picts....

Hello and welcome from Colorado. Like the Black Hills, there is a lot of Jeeps here and a lot of trail riding. I too purchased my first ATV about a year ago and have enjoyed it. I enjoy riding the trails here in central Colorado with my friends. I bought a quad, but my friends were advising a 50" wide side by side. I do find the quad rather tippy over these big rocks around here.

Hope to hear from you around these forums. They are really quite good.

Thanks for the welcomes! Picked up the 570, and we got out Friday for our first full day down near The Badlands, loved it! Wife loved it, and loves the 570. Bought a ECHO trailer that can accommodate two of them, shopping has begun for another 570 deal like the first one!

Congratulations on your new ace!! Nice pics as well. Best thing that you can have going for you is to have your honey enjoying the atving experience with you. Trust me......you'll be able to hit the trails more often.

Hey, how did the Ace do compared to the 570? It sure looks like a good way to ride a trail.

I never did a comparison, but the ACE has a 10" longer wheelbase, and is 7" longer overall. So you'll see some differences in where it can go I expect.

I was following my wife on the ACE with our little 330 Trail Boss. We're both total newbies, I couldn't keep up, she was fearless, I was a wuss! I just never was comfortable regular ATV, never got the leaning part... The day ended pretty ugly, lost my nerve and wrecked.. I will be recuperating for 8 weeks, and loose 25-50% of the flexibility of my left wrist permanently. The 330 is for sale, and I'll not get on another regular 4 wheeler. Searching for another deal on an ACE.
