Hi everyone!

I just purchased a 1989 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4X4. It's a little rough cosmetically and needs some work, but it'll be good for what I need it to do. The main issues are tracing some electrical - no headlights, no brake light, etc. The engine and transmission seem to work fine.

What would you recommend starting with? Changing out the fluids?

Where are some good sources for used parts?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums.

On anything motor driven stuff I buy used, I always change the fluids first.

Ebay would be a good place to go for used parts.

Also would suggest investing in a service manual for the quad too.

X2 on the service manual, that is a must if it needs work. Replace with oem parts if possible, way to many questionable aftermarket parts and I hate doing the same job twice. Use synthetic luves when ever possible. Keep us posted on your progress...we like pics also!!
