I used my paypal credit card through my paypal account. Does that make a difference?

 

I used the gift to a friend option so I would be the one paying fees instead of him. Being a person to person sale I thought that was the right thing to do. I guess I opened myself up to being taken advantage of that way, so it's my own fault. Lesson learned. I'm never doing that again. It even worked out in his favor because he's in Canada, and the US to Canadian conversion through paypal gave him more money than he asked for. B@$+@£D!!

 

Since it's through PayPal, I'm thinking it won't. Might check though. I know my PayPal card shows up as a different account when I log in. They may still argue it was a gift and not for merchandise.

I've never had a problem getting refunds when it was done the regular way. The times I did use the gift option I haven't had any problems yet.
