Default Hi great site Thanks ECM Question
Once again thanks for all the great info.

I have a 2004 Polaris 400 Sportsman. I bought a new battery and with the key off I connected terminal and the fan turned on and from what I have gleaned it is the ecm. My question is does the ECM have to be flashed after install? Thanks

Did you buy new or used ecm? Ecm was replaced under recall on 05, and the new one went up in flames. They have another replacement ecm.
