Hey everyone, new to the forum and fairly new to ATV-ing. I have this old bike in great shape 1998 Polaris 500 4x4. It was left to me when my buddy moved out of state, anyways the thing runs and was a great machine however before my buddy moved, he spent a day water wheeling etc and the trans got water in it and locked up. So much so we had to pull the rear axles out to be able to move it. I am not getting around to cleaning up the bike, its been sitting at least a year now but still runs. What if anything can I do to free it up? fill it with blaster? I assume its just a rust bucket on the inside, its been drained after this happened. Are these things worth rebuilding, do I buy a new used one off ebay? I cant believe that after a day out, it locked up the way it did. Thanks for the incite.
