Default Need some help (500 Polaris 99')

Hi Everybody, I am thinking about buying a 1999 Polaris 500. It's an automatic, new brakes new electrical, new Camshaft, new winch, new bearclaws and is literally in mint condition aside from a few scratches on the plastic. How reliable are they and how is the ride and durability with the rear monoshock? Some input would really be helpful as I have never owned a Polaris before. Thank you.

im guess its a scrammbler. the engines ahve been around forever and are pretty good. theres alot of info in here about the scram so finding good help wouldnt be a problem. the clutches maybe warn some. but really its a good bike for the right price.

I thought that it said 'Magnum' on the side but I am pretty sure it is not the sportsman because it would have independant suspension I am told.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

500 Magnums are good machines just keep the oil changed and valves adjusted about once a yr and you should have a dependable ride.
