Help me please.. I’ve brought my son this quad he rode it maybe 3 times if that. Lost the key and had to exchange the ignition switch. Every since that point nothing with the quad has been going good? The atv has a remote kill switch I still have the remote part just the keys were lost. Reason for exchanging the ignition switch. So I’ve noticed today when the bike is on it doesn’t do anything no lights or nothing. But soon as I turn the atv off the fuse blows. I’ve unplugged the kill switch now before turning off the atv that’s what make it not blow the fuse. But how can I get it to do anything else. I’m so new to this and trying my best to learn about it.

 

You (or the guys that fitted the replacement ignition switch for you) need to get hold of a wiring diagram and check through - could be they tried to use the wrong part, could be the right part but the wrong wiring. Any good auto electrician used to working on bikes should be able to sort this out easily and quickly.
