new user to the forum with no start scenario
#1
Hello.
I'm new to the forum and I have an issue that I hope someone could kindly help me with. I received a 2003 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 ATV. It was running great, however over the last couple months it started having a harder time starting. Now it will not start at all. I have tested the stator and it has checked out with the proper ohm readings on all 3 legs, I have replaced the coil and spark plug. When I check the plug for spark, it only sparks after i release the start button. Does not spark during the cranking cycle, only after the cycle is finished. I am positive it is getting fuel. Is this a timing issue? How best to rectify this problem? Thank you any help or direction in this matter.
