He is right about newgate...stay away from them...minute that quad is sold to you everything becomes rider error or maintenance issue...plus their parts are high and support low...probably the worst dealer on the wasatch front...them and layton cycle

Don't ya hate it when it's always your falt.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img] Just like when i ordered my twin air from them and they said the 02 and 03 models were the same. For your elevation, you need one size smaller main jet's....put a 135 in the front and a 140 in the rear, these are stock v-force main jet's, also make sure the air screw's are about 2 turn's out for the front carb and about 2 1/4 turn's out for the rear, this should make it run good.......

thanks guys for the info. I really am not as big of a moron as you think. Though I am new to atv mechanics, I do know about the reverse over ride and such. The symptoms of the plug color, vents, and now backfire just had me a little confused.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Two 2 inch square vents are roughly equivilent to adding two more snorkles to the air box. It ran worse with both wide open, which indicates leanness. Experiment with opening one vent and closing the other, opening both partially, etc.
On a different note, make sure the chokes aren't sticking on a bit. The return springs are weak, this is a very common problem on the 650's.

Default p650; lean VS rich- I NEED HELP!

I have installed the Pro circuit Pipe and the K & N with 6 hours on the machine. I installed 28: 589's and Douglass lightweight beadlocks and custom shock covers. The NOS system is custom and it sprays the airbox with a 12-16 hp boost of gas, but second time it broke my front drive shaft so the bottle has been removed, for now. I need help with:

1) jetting I have the Dyno jet kit, and I am at sea level, I am lean at 0-20 mph I have spitting sounds like throught the airbox, it likes the choke on at this speed? Sound accurate? The pipe is a good overall color it does not appear lean on the big end.

2) what is diamond G SNORKEL? where do i get one ? Do they have a website?

3) CDI BOX? where can I order one today?

4) DOES THIS BLACK SPRING NOTICE AN IMPROVEMENT?

Holey sh#$ you have a lot of work done to your quad...
The black spring Pretty much just makes your belt tighter. i noticed a little bit of difference but not as much as a hit of noz would make.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]
