Default 785 kit worth it with stock CDI?

So Endmumma has me thinking about this 785 kit for my 700. But I can't help but wonder how much a person would gain. We are told that the 700 is being held back by the current CDI as it sits now so how much would you gain with bigger displacement but same limited computer? Thanks all.

There is no replacement for displacement. Give Mickey a call and he will give you all the info you want. You can also wait about a week until mine is finished and I will tell you that I lapped a Porshe Boxster...LOL

I think I can hold myself back for a week. It will take all of my willpower to do so. I wonder if they sell a patch for horsepower cravings. Are you having the same shop port and polish the heads or are you having someone else do that?

endmumma,

How do you like the "HMF Dual Exhaust"?

Did you change your jetting and or air box?

My machine is still being machined. I am to have it back the middle of next week. I did not have the duals before the motor work, so it will be all new! But yes, it will be jetted. No air box mods yet. From what I have read on other forums, the v-force does not like a lot of air like the some other quads by removing the air box lid. Will let you all know the day I get it back.... They only sucking thing abou the Memorial day weekend is no QUAD and being off Monday is just another day the machine shop is closed...LOL

RJ,

I have the HMF duals on my 700. I took my snorkel off and cut out that barrier right inside the airbox where the air comes in. I am currently running 160f/165r jets and it is running great! I did have a bit of a fit issue with the can to the header for the front pipe. I had to have a muffler shop expand the can out a bit because we couldn't get it to slip on the way it came. It sounds incredible.
