I have a Warn A2000 atv winch on my Bayou 220 and it works great. However it is extremely dangerous to be in the potential line of fire in case the cable or hook were to break. So I would like to add a swith like the ones the larger winches have that has a 6 foot line attached to the swith allowing you to get several feet away while operating the winch. I know the upgrade from the A2000 to the A2500 has this switch but the kit is $150 and out-dated due to their new line of winches. Does anybody know if this is available??? By the way - if you guys have a Warn winch that is a few years old, you can go to their website and request them to send you the free upgrade hook - they will send you one for free. And if you have the A2000, give them a call because they recently started a recall on the silonoid because it was starting fires while the atv's are off and not even running. They'll send you a new silonoid or free too. I just put mine on today, but I have to get a new battery because to get the leads off I had to break the terminal off. LESSON!!! - be sure you have the square nuts (the ones with only four edges as opposed to a standard 8-sided nut) in which the terminal screw screws into to hold your leads on. I learned the hard way today when I started to losen the screw, the regular hexagon - shaped nut on the underside of the terminal was corroded so the edges immediately stripped off and there was nothing for me to grip the nut with and I didn't want to cut it and throw sparks near the flammable gases that the battery emits so I had to break the whole terminal and get a new battery tommorow.

 

I have seen these remote switches on ebay, that might be a good place to look. good luck
