Find the latest issue of ATV sport magazine. It has the Mojave on the front. Anyway, they wrote up a section on carbs. It was very good and explained how they work, when should you rejet, why, etc...
The more I talk to people the more I realize I know zilch about carbs and rejetting. There are so many factors that go into the decsion...altitude, weather, temp. They come from the factory assuming that you are running the bike at around sea level. The first thing your dealer is going to do is to put a smaller jet in if you live at 10,000 feet.
I rejetted mine to a 138 from the 132 stock. My post titled Mojave gurus help me will show you the fun I am having with mine right now. Some people are telling me that it is getting too much fuel on top end which is causing mine to bog. Don't know but 5th gear is useless to me at this point.
I'm thinking of calling four stroke tech just to let them laugh at me and then tell me what I am screwing up.
Anyway...back to the orginal post. Grab that magazine and read the basics it will help you like it did me. Then really ask yourself do you need to rejet?
Hope this helps!!
