Default Atv Insurance

I am in Michigan and I just paid 114.00 a year from Progresive for full coverage on my 02 Grizz. That is with 100,000/300,000/50,000 on liability and a 250 deductable on the comp/collision. You have to be carefull when you get a quote some of these places like ATV-line give you a decent quote but when you dig a little deeper it is only 20,000/40,000/10,000 liability with like a 500 deduct. These are usually state mins. and not worth much should someone get hurt 20 thou. can get used up pretty quick.

We have Progressive here in Michigan. My Trailboss with $500 deductable was 89.00 for the year.
His V-Force with the same deductable was 101.00 for the year. This was full coverage, included bodily injury and all that stuff. I can't believe how cheap ours was and how much everyone else is paying.

Afton, how did you find such good insurance so cheap? I could only get the $500 deductable, but now I am going to call them and find a better rate.

I just called Progessive after seeing your figures and was told that even from zip code to zip code in the same state rates can vary. You are in Michigan and I am in Florida and apparently Progressive thinks that us Floridians get in more accidents, therefore our policies are more expensive. He also told me that depending on age can cause a drastic variation in policy prices. How old are you?

I thought what I was getting was pretty good around here so it just depends on where you live as to what prices you will get on an insurance policy.

For example: you could live in Arizona (in the desert) where its flat and sandy and get real cheap insurance, or if you live in Colorado where there are nothing but mountains than you could pay more. As to why Florida and Michigan are so vastly different................who knows, I just think insurance companies try anything just to make more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Hey guys I just went online and got a quote and then called to verify it. As far as my age I am 32, married, and a homeowner so that all helps. When I went online I just put in the coverage I wanted. As far as the Florida to Mich difference maybe they figure with the winters we dont get to ride as much. I think also they base states on how much they paid out to that particular state in previous years.

When I was shopping for insurance on my P650, I compared all quotes from all that would give me a quote over the net. Progressive & ATV-Line were the 2 closest quotes & available coverages,I went with the latter only because of a lower cost. My biggest concern is "Theft" & wanted to be sure this multi-thousand $ 4wheeler was covered. My personel medical insurance also played into the coverage that I went with.
I'm at 50, so I am sure that helped allot too.

Theres alot of things that come in into play with rates. Do you have car insurance with same company, homeowners-age-driving record and so on.

Force;
No, all I have with ATV-Line is the Prairie 650.
No speeding tickets or accidents & I'm sure my age is a real big help.
