I have read here that it was 4.6, but they sent me an email that says it is only 4.0

Whats the size of it, I want to get one.

I read in the magazine that they were 4 1/2 gallons. For that much, I will stick to my homemade gas can holder.

The IMS tank is 4.6 gallons. I bought one and installed it a week ago. It says 4.6 right on the tank.

and this whole time I thought you were just joking about that gas can holder I've read about until I just looked at your pictures. LOL. These things really sux that much gas? (Havn't taken mine on it's madian voyuege yet, won't for another month till I get it back togeather) how much does the stock tank hold? Take care, Putt

 

The VForce really does suck down the gas. I run mine in GNCC events and the extra capacity of the IMS tank is a must; the stock 3.2 gallon tank will only take you about 27-30 miles in the race (about 3 laps). If you ride on a MX track, the stock 3.2 gallon tank will be empty in about 2 hours . . . pretty lousy.

 

I'm seriously considering the IMS tank. Does the "low fuel" light still work with the IMS tank?

I'm doing a 25 mi. desert race next week with the stock tank. I can only hope I don't run out of gas.

BigJJ, Did you verify that it holds 4.6???

And can you give me the web page or email or phone # of the place you got your tank. Just want to make sure were talking about the same company.

This is BigJJ (different logon from work). I did not verify that the IMS tank holds 4.6 gallons, but it does look a good deal larger, so I wouldn't doubt it. I ordered the tank directly from IMS (took about 10 days to arrive). Go to their website (www.imsproducts.com), which is currently down, and call them and order it over the phone. It is well made, although it takes about an hour to install (fuel pump, etc.).
