Default Overdrive button on the V

Hello all-

Considering swapping my Rancher for the V Force. What does the overdrive button really do? I assume it lowers the RPM, but does it disengage automatically when you mash the throttle? Do any of you use it?

thanks!

Its not like an override like on an auto on a car or truck.

Its for reverse, when its not pushed in you have a rev limiter that keeps the speed down in reverse. With an auto on a quad you can go the same speed in reverse as in a forward gear. So they use the rev limiter for safety. When you hold down the override you remove that rev limiter and you can back up with full power.

Oh, OK. My mistake. I guess I took a quick look and thought it said "overdrive". Override huh?

I don't think there is an overdrive on the V-Force. I have one on my Polaris Trailboss, but his V-Force doesn't
