Bad Day!!:(
#1
Yesterday was a very bad day! About 20 min. after I cracked the front fender of my V-Force (found a tree that doesn't like 700's), my buddy flipped my Prairie 650 down a hill. He fractured his wrist and 2 ribs. The Prairie is most likely totaled. I won't know for sure until my stealer, I mean dealer, has a chance to look at the frame. Some time next week he said. I can say for sure that the steering column is bent/cracked, every piece of plastic is broken, instrument panel is smashed, gear selector is bent, and the handle bars are twisted. It does however run. After using a chainsaw to cut the tree off of it, and lifting it off of the the boulder it landed on, I did ride it out of the woods.
Did I mention that I'm on vacation. And I was supposed to pack up the ATV's and go on a week long, four wheeling adventure, in New York, on Friday. There will be some modifications to our plans now!
Moral of the story- Don't let your inexperienced friends ride your toys.
Thank God for insurance, Spydr

That's some rough luck there Spydr. I finally got my arm out of the sling yesterday and feel good enough today to strip mine down and figure out what all is bent in the steering. The camber angle is definitely wrong and the toe-in is way out, although I still have a bent tie rod.
Hope all goes well for your Prairie but at least you still have the almighty V.

Its rare to let anyone but me drive my quads and I won't drive other people's quads either, it works both ways. Any pictures of your totaled P650?
Good thing your friend isn't hurt really bad but it adds up to more statistics that are going to be used against us.... I hope you had insurance.

I put a couple of pics on my page. There are more on my msn group.
Your right. This one bad day, definately doesn't outweigh the tons of great ones I've had on my ATV's The bike is insured. My buddy's pride is hurt the most. All will heal.
