Dyno jet kit
#1
Hi All,
These questions are directed for Nyroc, or anyone else that has tested the dyno jet kit verses stock jets and needles.
How did your 650 respond when you put the dyno jet kit in? Have you had better results with putting in larger stock/kehin jets in rather than using the mains in the dyno jet kit? Are you using the dyno jet needles with the larger kehin main jets, or does the bike seem to run best with the stock needles and larger stock/kehin jets? Are you shimming the stock needles?
What set up have you found to work best? I am in florida and am very close to sea level. I am currently using the recommended dynojet set up, but did not really notice much improvement. It seems to have improved the low to mid range very slightly, but it seems to have lost a little top end performance. It is really hard to tell with the other mods, though. I'm just curious what other people have experienced when they put the dyno jet kits on their quads. I do not get to ride much where I am located, so I have not had the time to try all of the possible combonations.
Thanks for your help.

After much trail and error I ended up with DJ needles and kehein mains. The dj needles allow for easier starting and more responsive mid range but I kept getting the best top range with the kehein mains. I really dont think it is worth the bucks for the dj kit afterall. There is a new dj kit for the 03 650. I wonder if it would work with the 02 650.
Good luck and a little tip when doing the main jets. Tip your quad on its left side (drivers left while sitting on quad) . Now the bottom of the bowls are faciong up and you wont lose any screws like I did. Also change to an allen key style screw (4 X 14mm) for future jetting.
