The guys definitly bought it aftermarket. I have to call the dealer this morning to ask about my fan that they hard wired on, so I'll ask them if they know exactly what they installed.

Kawidan,
The modulator does make the quad sound more deeper, throatier sound and has a way faster pick up from dead start. After initial stab of throttle the power is instantaneous it should give you at least a %30 improvement on the start. If you have intake and exhaust modds the performance will be more drastic. With my blower and and the module it is scarry to take off on full throttle and I do so only if I am on loose ground. On Pavement I can break loose all 4 tires at once it is awesome and dangerous. I like to find a little gravel on the pavement where I will put the quad onto and stab the throttle the tires start to spin and there is so much wheel spin the bike stays put and I create a smoke show. Once the tires start to heat up and it starts to move it is time to let off the throttle or it might go over backwards if the tires were to take hold!!!!

Thanks for all the great info alltoys.
From what I observed from the guy's 650, it reacted exactly to the way you described it. I was quite amazed with the improvement.

Yes I'm from Fredericton. I actually live in Lincoln which is in between Fredericton and Oromocto. Is your daughter in the military? Oromocto has a big army base. You are correct. It's a lovely place with lots of ATV ridding trails. But I can imagine that the mountains are a lovely scene.

Kawidan,
My wife was in the military and my daughter will have nothing to do with it I wonder why LOL. She is across the river from Ormocto what use to be the #1 hiway very close to the bridge that spans the river to Ormocto. They her hubby and her are very close to the hiway and it is great that the government moved the #1 so not so much traffic in front of the house anymore. The next time I go there I will be fishing most of the time except going to St John for Lobster UUUUUMMMMmmmm can't wait you lucky dog you to be that close to the best Lobster around. When I am out that way again I will look you up have fun take care.

alltoys,
She must be on the other side of the Burton bridge in Maugersville. You are correct now that they opened the new 4 lane highway, there is hardly any traffic on the old highway.
My dad is a lobster fisherman, so I get to eat as much lobster as I want. Too bad I have to drive 3 hours up north to get it.
That sounds like a good plan, let me know if you ever come down.

Kawidan,
I have a 1 ton truck and would love to fill it up with lobster if I could I would eat lobster till I looked like one I am sure. I am not sure what subdivision they are around all I know it isn't far from a motor boat dealership on the old #1 hiway. I think Shellfield is the area we send stuff for Xmas and old bills that come our way LOL. Fredricton is not that big only what 150,000 people for a capitol not many at all. I am told the best fishing around though. I will call when I am out there for sure it might be a couple of years but I am going out your way for sure.

those of you confused about the $250 to $350 price tag the old guy was quoting, dont forget where this whole drama played out,
the stealership, er I mean dealership.
That may be what he paid after
shipping
handling
labor
paid breaktime
tax
surcharge
excess wiring disposal fee
wipe greasy fingerprints off fee
beat your machine when your not there fee
lie to you about scratches fee
these necessary dealer procedures all add up and could be where some of the "fat" in his price quote are hidden.
as you can imagine I am quickly trying to learn all the necessary info to do service myself.
