How are you guys mixing the water wetter/purple ice? and is it working?

I have been seeing stuff on here about these additives.I looked up info on them and they really push using straight water for best performance but said you can add it to a 50/50 mix.
I would rather do that to make sure I still get the corrosion protection from the antifreeze. No way I risk that in an aluminum engine. Is anyone thats using it really noticed a significant difference?

I use 50/50, cuz I need the protection against freezing. I still use the Kawi coolant since it is better for aluminum.
However, water wetter has fairly good corosion inhibiting properties. If you live in a warm climate, you may consider 100% water.
See the water wetter page.

No, I don't think more water wetter will do any good. Higher radiator cap pressure actually increases cooling efficiency since it reduces the bubbles, but that plastic fill neck thingy probably won't take it.
Wrap the exhaust where it leaves the front head to help keep the area behind the rad cooler. Make some holes in the inner fender shield (up high).
When TRX450 gets me photos of the inner flaps, I will post those.

I use straight Engine Ice. It's pre-mixed with Deionized water. Running this straight, no antifreeze, it protects from -26 to 256 degrees F. It's a little expensive, $17.00 for a half gallon, but drops the operating temperatures by as much as 50 degrees F.

Hey pro x where did you get that? Also....is the corrosion protection still there? Thats the biggest problem with coolant. It really does not ever lose it's anti freezing abilities but the anti-corrosion abilities.
Thanks
