Pull starting an auto?
#2
Good question -
You should be asking this question on the Polaris Forum, as both the 600 & 700 don't have a back up recoil starter.
If your battery is that DEAD & won't start even with the recoil back-up, then you may be eating allot of dirt on the way home, as most tow straps are not very long.
Whenever any of our batteries have given out, it is always out in the boonies but in all those cases, the back-up recoil did the job.

I would guess it won't start, the centrifical clutch doesn't engage until the engine
is turning somewhere around 1100-1200 rpm, you wouldn't have any connection
between the engine and wheels. But I could be wrong, somebody probably has
tried it.

What spare TOOLS do you carry?
Auto or not, I always have my 15 ft tow strap in with of my other tool kit, portable air-pump, rain gear, duct tape, bailing wire & so on.
If you ride alone, best always have the cell-ph too!

If it's a constant belt engaged auto like Yam or Suz, yea it should pull start, but you won't be able to pull a Pol or Bomb auto because the primary ( with is attached to the crank ) has to be spinning to engage the belt.
