my friend jus bought a 2001 lakota sport and was wondering what is the best pipe or silencer or combo for it.

 

well there is only two exhaust systems for it and there is supertrap and dg xcellerator,both are good pipes.The dg is all chrome and the supertrap is black header and aluminum silencer.

 

there's more thant two pipes for a lakota DG makes three pipes for it RCM, Krome power And the xccelerator, Cobra makes one, supper trapp makes one, and when i was at my local dealer a couple of days ago i was looking through their parts catalog and saw that big gun made a utility series pipe for it. I personaly have had the cobra pipe for a while and it was descent and fairly loud. I just recently bought a supertrapp and a much mor happy with the power it makes and sound.

 

ZBlaster, I've also got a 2001 lakota and I am running a supertrapp. I definately recommend it! It gives it a good sound (loud enough, but not too loud) and it runs great too. But after the pipe, he sould also get the 13 tooth sproket. I used the lakota and supertrapp with and without the 13 t and it makes a difference once you've got it.

By the way Antix, I responded to your post regarding the plastics for your lakota. Did you get it and were you able to find them?

 

yeah i think i'm gonna go with the factory plastic. i called the dealer they said it be $104 for the rear section and on rocky mountian atv for the rear section it like $120

 

the best is probably supertrap or dg xcelerator.
