vforce belt noise
#1
The whine from the belt is louder than the moter when I come through the trails people hear the whining rather the moter.
Is this supposed to be this loud or should I have i checked out? Has anyone had theres checked and what was the outcome if you had?
I have a sportsman 500ho and you can't even hear the belt whine at all. Different bikes but same concept. Thx

Cobra,I have a 650 and I have expressed the same concern.Everyone says it is not the belt but the gears. Most atv's have helicle cut gears and the kaw's have straight cut ones. They are supposed to be stronger.I would compare it to a manual trans car......you know how the forward gears are quiet......but in reverse it whines??? The reverse gears are straight cut and the forward ones are helicle.I have a buddy that has a 500 h.o also.We traded for a while and I noticed the same diff.It was very quiet........but then I punched the throttle and remembered why I got the 650.Don't worry about it.You will get used to it.
