man i like v forces but seriously i cant see it beating a tuned banshee. how did he race his banshee though. does he always keep his revs high high in the powereband or mid and let them droop. most banshees have toomey pipes.the ones that muder everything else that is. never nough though

EPI has developed a pink spring that will be out in 4 weeks that has a 15 engagement and a 145 shift out I think that is the spring we've been waiting for but tjhe best would be a progressive spring or a dual rate but I don't see that happening. Kevin what are the numbers on your polaris spring it must be old because the new one out would not work well. If we new the numbers maybe we could get close also what is your stall before you engage with that spring

i dont think a 15/145 wouldnt be a good spring since the engament is lower than a stock Vforce. i think the best would be a 25-30/150. you want a little higher engament so it will be like a sling shot.

At full throttle my V-Force would cut out and comeback and cut out and comeback, from hitting the rev limiter with the yellow spring.

I just ordered the hotseat green spring which is 40-145 I'll see how that does and try some other things with weights.

Guys, its obvious different companies are making the same color springs with different ratings. The brown I was using was only about 500 RPM's more stall than stock, while someone else's stalled until 3500. The purple I'm using now probably stalls around 700 RPM's above stock and doesn't hit the rev limiter, very rideable on the trails and you see what top end it gives. This is STRICTLY a guess, but I'd say the spring I'm using now is rated at around 50/150. I'd still go with the baseline being around 3" long. Both springs I've used were the same length, but the purple had thicker coils giving it a higher rating. Another thing to remember, if you get a spring with too little stall, you can add up to 3 shims to raise the rate on it.

Green700, a spring with a little stall can help you break the tires loose instead of standing straight up like an instant engagement spring will do. I was getting just a slight bit of tire spin and then I was gone.

Remember, changing the spring is a big help, but its still not dialed in like it can be. When there's a better selection of springs, weights and helixes you'll be able to make the shiftout exactly where all the horsepower is.
