Scott,
You can take off the weights on the quad but you will need 2 very thin sockets to get them off I had to machine 2 sockets as they will not fit other wise. You would be better off to buy a puller and work on the clutch on the bench it is much easier and with the puller it easy to pop it off.

Thanks Alltoys, I'll borrow my dealer's puller and do the job.

I've put the EPI 56 gram weights on - so far the results are NOT GOOD, and dealing with EPI when trying to solve the problem is NOT GOOD either. Details to follow; hopefully I can come up with a combination or modification to make these expensive (and non-returnable ) weights work.

He lost RPM's,

he said he's down to 5500 wide open, with the stocks, he was at 6500 - 7000.

Lost RPM,
Have you returned to the stock spring in front and tried that it should bring your rpm's up at least a try.

If the stockers are 60g, and he has 56g, wouldn't that would raise the RPM's? It takes more angular velocity to pull on a lighter mass and create the same force to push on the spring (higher RPM). It is probably revving like crazy?

Or is the mass distributed differently so that they actually move at a lower rpm than a heavier wieght?
