Default I am about to spend $1000+ on wheels for Vforce.

I have looked at all the wheels I can find for the V Force. I have decided to go with the Douglas Ultimate Beadlocks 10x5 with a 4/144 pattern and 21x7x10 6 ply Razr tires for the front.
The rears I plan on getting 400 EX 24 spline 4/110 Durablue Hubs and Douglas Ultimate Beadlocks 10x8 with the 4/110 pattern with Fast Trekker 18x11x10 tires.
I plan on doing mainly dirt/grass drag racing. Any comments on Drag Racing with the 18 inch tires for the rear? It seems to me it will raise the final gear ratio which should help for faster launching?
I am a 300 pound guy on a 500 pound quad so I dont think I will need 22" tires to hook up...
Can someone recommend a spring for a jetted V with dual HMF pipes and 18 inch rear tires please?
Any negatives comments on this combo?
RockyMountainATV has the parts in stock at a good price:

$164.99 Front wheels
$174.00 Rear Wheels
RaZr 21x7x10-6 ply $44.99 each
Fast Trekker 18x11x10 $38.99 each

Comments please!!!

Smaller tires will gear you down, if anything. Lower top speed. I bet 18" tires would look tiny on the vforce.

Dude those 18" fast trakkers are TINY!! my neese has some on the rear of her 80cc quad, and they look good. BUT for a v-force??? NO-WAY!!

If you feel you have to "gear down" then I would'nt go below 20" tires, and you should mount them on 8" rims for added traction.

Bigger.

With an Auto you need to go with taller tires.

The Vforce is very much limited to top speed by the size of the clutch. Use the torpue the V has and gain distance and speed by using taller tires.

before buying, borrow a set of 25" from a p650 owner, they'll fit the back.

I wont make it to top speed where I drag race. My DS barely gets wound out in 4th before I have to let off and it has a 14 front sprocket a 41 rear and 20" tires.
I am looking for the best low to mid accelleration. It just seems to me that a 18" tire would raise err lower my final gear ratio from (example) say a 3:08 to a 3:73 by taking 4 inches off my rear tire size.
This should equil lower top speed but give a faster et... No?

As for the hub, Douglas does not make a rear beadlock that fits the V pattern. I was told EX 400 24 spline hubs fit on the V Axle? Which is a 4/110 pattern which everyone makes wheels for.

the ITP Baja series 4 on 137mm wheels were made for your quad, I run a set of 9" X 9" on the rears of my Prairie for hare scramble racing ...I ( poor mans bead lock the tires to them, 1 stainless screw every other hole, inside & out... you could also put a set of ITP's new cast C Locker wheels on the rear, if you wanted to try going to 12" wheels... the C Locker may be available in a 10" wheel also, which would most likely be available in both bolt patterns... I agree with the others on the tire diameter, I run 22" tires on the Baja wheels, & I lose 4-5 mph top speed, & a stock 650 will beat me through the 1/4 mile easily... if your racing distance is shorter & traction is very good, smaller tires could have some advantage, but more than likely, the tourqe of the big V twin will spin even a 25" tire mounted on your V... tire tread is probably more important than the diameter... the distance, & racing surface should be as critical to chooseing your tire... hope this helps...WAM

25" tires would put me up at 80+ mph top speed but give me a slower launch?

ZZARAZZ... I was told that my 22" X 12.5" X 9" Superswampers were still spinning to about 1/8th of a mile on my driveway drags, after I installed a hole shot module ( the best way I have to test performance mods )... with the power of your V, I wouldn't go any smaller than ( like mine ), a 22" tire, & look for a tread pattern that will hook up to your racing surface better than what your competition ... Your thinking wrong on the smaller tires, the auto clutch will always have you in the right gear, the only difference with the small tires you'll be traveling less distance with each rev.
