What am I doing wrong?

Put HMF Duels on and put the 148 jet in the rear and the 145 Jet in the front that HMF supplied. It did nothing but break up throughout the entire rpm range. I played with the air screws and tried all combinations with no success. I took off the air box lid, and it greatly improved but still breaks up on top end and the air screws dont help at all. My first time jetting. What am I doing wrong??

I HAD MINE JETTED THAT WAY. IT SHOULDNT BE DOING WHAT YOU SAY ITS DOING. WHEN I FIRST GOT MINE I JETTED IT LIKE THAT AND IT RAN FINE. THE AIR SCREWS SHOULD BE TURNED ALL THE WAY IN THEN TURNED OUT 2 TURNS. OH YEA WHAT KIND OFR JETS ARE THEY ? THE BRAND. TRY THAT AND IF IT DOES NOT RUN CORECTLY CALL ME AND FOR A SMALL FEE I WILL BRING MY SELF AND MY BEST FREIND WHICH IS A MECHANIC AT ASK IN COLUMBUS AND DOES ALL MY MODS AND WILL FIX HER UP. PLUS IF YA WANT I CAN JET IT LIKE MINE AND DO THE AIR BOX MODS FOR YA AND IT WILL RUN LIKE A RAPED APE. IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YA WANT?

Thanks Ted, I know all the mechanics at ASK I must have spent about 80+ grand in that store.. I have bought 8 new XP Seadoo'sin teh past 5 years, 3 Ds's, a Hayabusa and a V force! Im out here in Pataskala on 6 acres, got a decent spot to drag race on my property. They were telling me about your quad when I picked up my V I messaged you a few times to see if you wanted to ride... If you want to come up and have a cook out and help me tune it up and do some racing its cool but you want me to pay you? LOL! I will cook you some ribs or steak whichever you want[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Seems like a fair trade?

YA MAN WE COULD HOOK THAT UP. I WASNT SAYING PAY ME IM NO MECHANIC AT ALL I COULDNT CHANGE MY OWN OIL. BUT MY BEST FREIND COULD TUNE IT PERFECT FOR YA . BUT HE MIGHT CONSIDER DOING IT FOR SOME GRUB I WILL TALK TO HIM. THE PROBLEM WE WILL HAVE IS WHEN WE COME OUT AND RIDE HE WILL BE WOOPIN UP ON US WITH HIS NEW YFZ 450. I WAS RUNNING HIM YESTERDAY! THAT THING IS FAST

Mark: I did not see or hear any leaks.. Used the stock gaskets that were on the stock exhaust... Should I replace those?

Wish they would make a big bike that was actually faster then a 450 etc.. heh wtf? My buddies stock Predator was killin my piped DS!!

Hey guys I live in junction city ohio and work in downtown columbus. I would love to get in some of this action. I have a purple spring in and would love to find out how much it has realy changed my quad since the engagement is kinda harsh. What distance drag are you guys talking about anyway.

I think you need more fuel .... My experence is that this engine responds well to more fuel and air.
Note: don't take the lid "OFF" .... You can play with the amount of air by proping one end of the
lid open with two of the hold down clips.
