breaking in my 700 praire
#1
i was wondering if it would be alright to have my wife ride on my new 700 with me while the engine is breaking in or will it hurt the motor. just wanted to know if i could take her with me tomorrow.

Sure, why not. In low range only. Keep it at part to half throttle (don't go over half during break in). Don't let it idle too much during break in. It needs to work a little to break in properly. Don't put synth oil in it for 100 miles or so.
It is a good idea to change the oil and filter early on a new machine.
Never rev it when cold (wastes rings, pistons). Never drive slow in high range (wastes belt).
Never keep a prairie with the stock dunlops for more than 100 miles. Your riding skill will increase too much for those tires in 100.
