Just so I have a reference point (apples vs. apples)

What would the typical stock numbers be using the same measurement method for:

Raptor

DS 650

YFZ 450

The Raptor is usually about 38 and the DS and 450 is around 41. With 0 dollars and a little tweaking the 450 puts out about 46.

Here is a 450 owner that posted 33 hp stock
http://forums.atvconnection.com/mess...&keyword1=dyno

Anyway regardless of what the dyno says one should realize that a manual tranmission does not hold a specific RPM. So during a drag race for example, even with the throttle wide open, a 46 hp machine would not really be putting out 46hp. Except of a brief 1/100 th second for each gear. The average HP produced during the race is much lower. So assuming the dyno run I linked is realistic, if the 450 driver drag raced, and kept rpms between 7000-1100 than the average hp would be about 31.

Actually I saved a raptor run compared to mine on the same graph. The only thing is that the raptor had a crappy WB e-series pipe on it. Click on the link in my first post, I added it to my folder. The raptor was run in 4th gear like all manual shift atvs. I wanted a all gear run on a raptor to compare the two, because my run on the V-Force, being that it is a auto, is run from a dead stop till WFO, but we didnt have any all gears on any raptors. When u compare a all gear run on a manual atv to a auto, you can really see how the V-Force jumps out before most other atvs. When you start out in first, a raptor only makes about 15-20hp peak in first, then 20-25hp in 2nd, and so on. Most atv's hit there peak hp numbers in 4th gear, or 5th on a 6 speed. And youll notice that the V700 hits its peak almost instantly, and starts falling from there. I just put a full yoshi system, pro-flow intake, and jet kit on my buddys 04 Raptor, so im gonna borrow it for a day and dyno it to compare the 2. We raced alot while he was stock and I could take him by 2-3 bike lengths, and he does weigh about 15 lbs more than me. And yes my banshee does take my V in the drags, but thats about all it does better than it!

You may be sincere or maybe not. Its hard to tell with only text. We think back to all the comments we have seen on this forum and right away we think your trying to start something, its only natural if you have been around along time on this board. To me it sounded like you were trying to start a banshee VS V-Force arguement. Sorry if you were not.

Also that sig you have under name sorta backs up your short statement, also being around on the forums along time makes people think this way.

thats it? i bet ur banshee schools it
No punctuation and grammar also makes us believe you mean to start an arguement.

You could of said, how much HP does your banshee make with your mods? Is it much more than the V-Force? I would think it would be with the mods you have.

Thats how you could say it without coming across are trying to start something......just a forum lesson you might want to pick up if you were sincere and we took you the wrong way. If you are trying to start something then.........go away.

hey im not,but i think its pretty sad u guys readily accuse me of "starting something" all the time. so i got in a baby argument months ago. BIG DEAL. im here to talk about atvs and nothing else. i just saw banshees make more hp with pipes and it looks to me like ur banshee has mods. i actually said that to see what ud say. so i'll ask u now: which is faster?

I don't know about your past posts, only the one you made here. I judge you based on what I said in my last post. Its the way the forums work.

EDIT: The banshee was said to be faster in drags, by the owner so that would be your answer. Have a good time on the forums.
