The color go's all the way through. And you could get a propane torch and quickly run it over the scratches until they are almost gone, (keep in mind, you don't want to melt the whole area) then let the plastic totally cool. then use some of the buffing \ polishing techniques mensioned above.

This has worked for me in the past.

I'm thinking I'll just try and keep it a scratch free as possible without having to resort to the torch technique... Many thanks. Any other suggestions?

Try some 3M marine polish. It is suppose to do a good job of keeping the plastic looking good. You can also try Plastic Renew, but that requires a lot of work on the plastic

sorry

scratches are a part of the package (quading)

any time spent on removing scratches is wasted riding time IMO

just my sentiments

as far as actually removing scratches,,,,I would agree with the comments above,,,sorry to get off topic

Now those comments, I couldn't agree with you more! Thank you!! Just asking because I wanted feedback from experienced riders like you. And I'd like to TRY to keep it as new looking and running as possible. As everyone here knows, $6000 is an expensive toy, so I'd like to keep it nice as possible. But having said that, I'm also trying to be as realistic as possible, as well.
I'd like to thank EVERONE for their imput. I am learning a great deal and it's sincerely appreciated.
