Kaw ever plannin on EBS???

Bearfus, on automatic transmissions,Engine Braking System [EBS] assists the rider on downhill descends. On clutch like systems, including auto clutches,on a downhill descend, the rider can shift to a lower gear to keep his quad from freewheeling down the hill.Since Automatic transmissions does not allow a lower selection of assorted gears,EBS is required for keeping your quad under control when descending steep hills. On some model quads this is standard equipment, while others ,it's an option.I have it on 99 Sportsman.I like it a lot.======BILL

PraireTy, yours doesn't "officially" have EBS that I am aware of. I think it's just like all other automatics. They slow down by themeselves, they do get engine braking, but people make it sound like they coast as if they were in nuetral. The EBS kit makes them have the same amount of braking a normal geared model does.

It really depends on which model you are riding, engein type, and clutch setup. My Scrambler doesn't coast unless I am down to about 5mph. I have ridden other Polaris models and they are the same way, and don't free wheel as long as you blip the throttle. I haven't riden the Kawi auto though so I don't know how it is. Without EBS you still get some braking, but it's not as much as a machine with gears or an auto with EBS. Does this make sense...
