mojave cam cap

i have 1998 movjave i noticed a oil leak a vavle cover bolt was missing so i took it apart the cam cap was cracked so i went to the dealer and thay told me that i cant just buy the cap i have to buy the top end kit for 400.00 . does anybody know were i can just buy the cam cap.....

are u talking about the valve adjuster cap i have a 99 mojave. Your dealer is trying to rip u off . buy a dirtwheels mag an look in the back for kawasaki part dealers i am sure u can buy just the cap. Where and what is the name of the dealer

Its the cam cap it holds the cam down there are 2 per cam there

I don`t think the dealer is lying to you.i know when you take those off you have to make sure they go back on in the exact same place.They probley don`t come single.Kawasaki probley thinks if you replace one you should replace them all.Some shops have old mojave engines laying around try calling around and asking.
