Default Question for Team Green

Adam, I know you came in second at Mathews Farm, and I see a Yamaha came in first. But I've got the video of the start, and I didn't see any Raptors in the class. I saw a white atv get in front, but I didn't know a Raptor came in white. So what Yamaha won the stock class?

These are the stock rules.

3. Stock (ATV) - May change front shocks, tires, wheels, throttle assembly, axle, handlebars, grips, skid plates, plastics and seat covers, including those that add traction, but may not change seat height. May add bead locks, nerf bars, foot peg extensions, and open or closed end, metal or plastic hand guards. May not add steering stabilizers or air filter sleeves. .May not add front shock reservoirs, or modify or remove front shock reservoirs from machines that come equipped with them All motor components and rear suspension must remain stock. Aftermarket replacement parts may be used so long as they do not improve motor performance, add travel to the suspension, or have a reservoir. Example: must have stock pipe, silencer, carburetor, air box, air cleaner, rear shocks, etc...

I do believe the Yamaha 450 has rezzies.

This is also in the GNCC FAQ.

Q: What class can the Cannondale Blaze and Moto ATVs compete in?

A: With front shock reservoirs standard, the Cannondale Blaze and Moto ATVs are not eligible to race the 4-Stroke Stock Class. They are eligible for First Year Racer, the 4-Stroke Novice Classes, Open A and B, 4-Stroke A and B, and Pro and Pro Production.

So this should be the same to the YFZ450.

GE- They changed the rules for the Yamaha. They would never allow Blazes in the stock class due to the reservoirs. Im not really concerned about it.

Yea, there was a Yami 450 sitting right by me on the start line,....somebody tried to protest it, the lady with the radio was back and forth with somebody on the other end, the call was made to let it run. I think they changed the rule earlier in the morning........I don't think its a big deal either (rezzys) .....what I don't like, is that they just change rules on the fly....they should have then done the same for the C-Dales last year ....however a mute point as C-dale no longer exists.

Gotta admit though, those things are fast and seemed to take the beating at the race, but running some of the tougher more challenging tracks like the Wisp and iron Man will tell for sure. Get them in some nasty mud and rocks and see if they still hold up...

Oh well, it's still 90% rider & 10% what color underwear ya have on............

I have been impressed with them so far...I sorta like the new bike........

Adam,

what do you think of the new Honda???

I am / was sorta disappointed>>>>

One thing for sure is that with Tim Farr as the hired gun,....Yami better snag somebody....Barry Hawk maybe???

Hopefully Kawy has something up there sleeve as well....both with a 450 cc and rider....

Can't think of any good riders for the Kawy though...LOL
