Ok I go to crank it after several months of sitting. I choke it, give it a couple swigs of gas with the throttle and pull a few times b/c the battery is dead. It cranks and sputters and idles way up so i back off the choke a bit and it runs ok to be stowed up like it is. Then, I figure I need to drain the carb bowl so I do so b/c it sounds like it may have some water in it. Then, I pour some water remover in the tank and fill it up with gas, spilling some as usual.

I poured a glass of water over the fill cap to rinse it off and it ran down under the handlebars. Now, it won't even fire. Could I have fried something with the water? What the heck did I do? No fire whatsoever...

Hmm...drain everything I would say, Deff. replace the battery, but try a new spark plug, that could be your problem......

 

Well it finally cranked. I don't know what it was. It just decided to crank, but it sputters bad and will backfire most of the time when I go to give it gas fairly quickly. Maybe that's the water remover?

 

i agree drain everything. not much i can say 4 the fact that im 133 but if u cant fix try takin apart ur enigine then jsu flush everything!!

 

does it feel like it wants to shut off when u rid it???
