Twin Air Question

Default Twin Air Question
I've installed the twin air filter on my prairie , but is it necessary to detach that
rubber gasket at the bottom of the stock filter and put it on the twin air?
I'm asking cause mine is a pain to detach ,there is too much glue to do a good job..
