Default Jetting vs. service Manual recomendations

for those out there that have done some experimenting with any Kawi ATV, have you found that Kawi's recomendations for your altitude works out well with what Kawi recomends?? Trying to decided if I should just follow the Kawi recomendations for my altitude..

I rode in Colorado and Utah a couple weeks ago , and I jetted 132 in the front and 138 in rear with 3 one inch
holes cut in the airbox , Bike ran good from 5000ft to 13000ft. I think Kawi recomends this from 4900 to 8000 maybe.
Didn't want to go any leaner because I knew I would be riding at 5000 ft some. Hard to jet for large elevation changes.
Stay a little on the rich side and you will be ok.
