I love it, havent raced a banshee yet but it will definitly leave a ds650 behind, definitly shocks people when they see it take off. I used a local machine that everyone knew, It was a definite lemon, which was great for shock effect.

To do the swap is the mounting the same size?
For A stock Mojave with pipe and filter, would the 400ex carb. have to be jetted, and if so how do you figuire out whats needed?
Is it that simple as in pull the stock off, put the new one on and run the new thumb and cable????

It will fit on easy with the new cable and thumb throttle but I do not know if you can stretch the stock air tube over the carb. I do not use the stock air box setup. If you are not running a stock air box you will not have a problem. I make an air tube that runs around behind the shock and uses a clamp on filter mounted under the seat area. You can put a clamp on right on the carb and it will work ok but better performance comes from a tube between the carb and filter. You will have to check jetting and change if needed for your setup, but stock 400ex jetting is close.

hey mojaveaddict, ever have any problems from the accel pump sitting so close to the head pipe? It sets about a 1/8 inch from the headpipe on my supertrapp full race setup.

I rotated the carb slightly and loosened and reworked the exhaust a little and then tightened it back to get about a 1/2 inch clearance. I will make a small heat shield to go between them though.

... no they didn`t sell it regulary here and i knew nobody who drive one. Here the most comon is taiwan plastic bombers with any quality for cheap prices and then for the serious you can get yamaha warrior as the most comon ,but used parts for atvs--> nothing.May be you know an alternative from a motor bike?

Happy riding

Tommy
