Default WOT Hesitation

Dead stop, WOT my bike has a flat spot until 3-4 mph, then really goes. My bike is stock
except for DG Snorkle, exhaust mod and twin air. I have tried to tune this out with jets,
needle shimming and idle mixture, even took out the Dial-A-Jets, nothing seems to make a difference.
Is this the stock low speed retard I am feeling? Is this what the Holeshot cures???

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Same here. If I hit it all the way down right off the line it bogs then only gets going after a second or two. Do I need more air??? I was thinking the NAPA hose or DG's snorkel.
Thanks

Hey Code54
I have the DG snorkel and it makes no difference, I think I have been trying to tune out
the low speed igniton retard. The Holeshoe fixes this I guess. As long as you are moving
you never notice the hesitation, pretty bad from a dead stop tho.

Ok, thanks!! How much is the box? I really dont care at all about the top end speed (have a sport bike for that) but would LOVE to get rid of that low end bog. Guess I will wait to get the snorkel, does sound like it did much for you.
Thanks

I've been trying to get rid of that hesitation for about 6 months now. I don't know where it came from. I have the DG Snorkle, TwinAir filter, Dynojets (128/132 and 132/136 setups) needle on 4th notch, moved needle to 5th notch too, EPI black spring, holeshot, nyroc exhaust...and no matter what I do it doesn't go away. It usually gets better after I tinker but after a while comes back.

It seems to get better when I take the main jets out and blow them out with air, then put back in. Even cleaning the air filter doesn't help. Anyone have any ideas? I was gonna blame it on the belt but its definately the rpms of the motor the first 2 seconds after you pin it from a dead stop....

Too many riders having the same problem, been working on mine for a couple months too.
Got to be Low Speed Retard causing this I think. Riders with Holeshot say it cured the
problem.

If you have an actual mis-fire or bog then you need to tune. If you just find it dead you need a higher engagement primary spring and/or a module.
