I would put aftermarket bars on ASAP. My V is so much more comfortable, and the steering and handling came so far just by putting Renthals on.

I also have the MBRP's and those are frickin' awesome. Whenever someone new see's my quad, after they get over how big it is, the sound is the next thing they mention.

If cashflow isn't an issue, I think the front shocks are the most lacking department on this quad. I'll have to wait until X-mas to get mine.

I have the HMF duals, great upgrade, IMS tank, a must. Elkas all the way around, nice. EPI clutch kit, nice addition. Twist trottle, good. IMS bumper, real saver.

MT, did you put your clutch kit in? Did you go with the springs in the kit, or get different ones? Did you have any trouble with the twist throttle installation? I haven't looked close, yet, but I figured it had dual carbs and was wondering how the cable connected to both. I put a twist on my warrior no problem.

2lman, how much did the MBRPs run you? They didn't have them listed on their site. And the Renthals... it really made that much difference?

Thanks,

Joe

Set of front elkas on e-bay for 400.00 that's pretty cheap. Elkas rock. Pipes are a good investment also. And don't forget the 20.00 pink spring, really worth it. Enjoy.

No, i didnt install the twist or the clutch kit, dealer installed everything. I have a thing about having him "install it right" and fix it if it isnt. With the EPI kit, pink and black springs and new weights.

Hey Dragonrider
I put the motion pro twist throttle kit on my V last weekend was pretty easy. First you have to take the seat.middle plastic (the plastic that covers the air box),the whole air box and the old thumb throttle off. The motion pro comes with a new cable and the dual carb set up is no problem you can see on the front carb where the old cable goes into it you have to take a phillips head screw driver to get the cover off the carb linkage and take the old cable off and put the new cable on.There is linkage from the front carb that you do not have to touch when doing the twist throttle that goes to the second carb so the cable only goes to one carb. Then you have to route the new cable and connect it to both ends (throttle itself and carb) then adjust both ends of the cable so the carbs will close all the way when you let off the throttle and so the carbs open up all the way (NOTE TO SELF ADJUST THE CABLE PRIOR TO PUTTING EVERY THING BACK TOGETHER!!!) then reassy the quad and ride on.Took me maybe 25-30 mins was taking my time first time I ever took any thing off the quad cept those damn tie rods could prolly put the twist throttle on again in 10 maybe 15 mins at the most fairly simple.

Excellent, thanks. I am going to get one soon. I am used to it on my other quad. I appreciate the instructions.

I'm looking forward to going out this weekend. The dealer where I bought my V is having a "Playday" at a track in eastern Oregon, a couple hours from here. I want to race some this winter and this will give a taste of it. My sons are coming with me to play. Rob has a friend that is hoping to pickup his YFZ 450 this week, so he can make this event. The track looks fantastic. Check it out: EuroGP

Thanks, again!!

Joe
