Well there is yet another scam on Ebay for a Prairie 650. This one is funny seeing one photo is of the wrong machine (not a 650 prairie)and one of the other photos is of a wrecked machine that was one there a few days ago. I reported it but wish there was more that we could do so other ATVer's (people trying to get into the sport and do not know better) dont get ripped off.

I emailed the guy and told him he had either made a big mistake when he posted it or he was trying to scam someone,, I got no reply!

 

Ebay Motors is getting real bad. The other day there was a custom ZX-12R up for bid, looked real familar. I did a search and found the original bike. The crook used the original sellers pictures. I emailed the original seller, who still had the bike. I also emailed the crook, received a automated response.

If you see something listed at a insane low price, use caution. They will get your deposit and you will never hear from them again.

the worst is when they advertize one thing and give you some bullsh@t no brand name crap. like when i bought my cell phone cover they said it was bodyglove. Was it no just come cheap china crap. be safe out there and all ways buy it on a credit card you have 90 days to cancel.

 

You are right, Ebay motors is getting real bad. Too bad more law enforcement groups did not have the manpower to track these people down and introduce them to the court systems! the bad thing is there are a lot of people out there that dont know what they are doing and are going to fall for these scams. I hate to see anyone, let alone someone wanting to get into ATVING get taken and lose there hard earned money. Oh well I guess we should all keep a look out and try to help where we can.....

 

anybody who sees a scam needs to alert ebay of this. they will take care of the seller.

LOL,,,LOL,,, I don't think so, I emailed him back and told him I am not interested in something he does not have! Maybe I should have gotten his address so the I could send it to ebay! LOL!!!

 

I've found that they almost always have a out of country email addy. Would make any prosecution difficult for the $$ amounts they are scamming. I have also been told that they are stealing valid ebay members idenities, so that they appear to be a member in good standing with ebay. Bottom line is... if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Use caution [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]
