Wildwill;

Sounds like a great set-up.

I looked at your pics. I see the mark your belt is leaving on the inside of your primary.

You still have 10 mph in there.

Thats great news then. I notice I have the same mark on my drive pulley. NOW, I just need to hook up with a P750 or another monster Prairie to pull me LOL.

I forgot to ask, wildwill, did you have the Dalton Plain/white spring in first then put the blue one it and gained speed? I lost 3 mph with the Dalton blue in my P650.

SHOTGUN...this is caused by the helixes in the secondary not being long enough, like we all talked about a few weeks ago ???? WAM

Alltoys is going to lengthen the slots in the helix on his secondary in his KVF 700. We had mine off my V and his apart side by side last Sat and they are the same. If the slots are longer, the pins should push the sheaves further apart giving more top end.

wam

Your right, before the belt can go to the bottom it needs to be longer, but that's hard to change.

but even if the belt could go to the bottom of the secondary, it wouldn't go any higher than it does in the primary, it can't. If you take your primary clutch off, take the spring out, close it all the way up, then lay the belt in it. It's in the same place as the marks, that because it all the way closed on the 650, as we have talked. to gain the extra speed the belt needs to go lower in the secondary, higher in the primary and be wider or rebuild the primary to make it close more.

The secret would be an over drive transmission, did I mention I recently had to replace my transmission, $1600.00, later

I'm not ready to tear apart my tranny yet, but perhaps it's not beyond possibility to change out a gear or two to to achive a higher ratio???

I'm sure pulling is as hard on the tranny as any type of ATV competition... hopefully mine stays together while my wife is pulling on Sunday after the big race ...

SHOTGUN... If you have time, can you P.M. me some hook up hints for the pull... I have a custom 2" reciever hitch on it now...WAM

Just a little comparison or a few notes. First I am glad you guys went through your belt testing have you come up with any positive belt solutions with respect to longevity especially price. Also no matter what you do with the belt you may gain some rpms with a 360 belt just a couple. Where you really gain is in machining the clutchs this allows for the belt any belt to go higher up the primary and down farther on the secondary. There is a slight difference between the Prairie Helix and the V Force Helix almost 0.20 mm difference this along with the changes in gear ratios from the Prairies to the V forces equalize the power bands. You gentlemen are starting to catch on.

DWB,
I started with the white stripe. Then had my tires balanced and added the blue spring. The higher rpms from the blue spring added the mph plus the balanceing smoothed things out.
I have the V-force clutches which are different from the Prairie and my motor has a higher power curve do to the big bore kit and mods.

Shotgun,
I don't need to go any faster with my trail setup. My stock clutches will be the ones I want to max out and use for dragging only. Thanks to Alltoys!!!

I guess you have the power to convert the blue spring into more speed but I lost 3mph with the one nyroc sent me for testing.
