I was at my dealer today to pick up my quad, and talked to them. It's true, there is a new high perf Kawasaki quad coming possibly Nov.-Dec. this year. I asked if they ever get any info on new quads coming out, like a high performance quad, and he said "it'll be until November or December, but all I know is that it's a high performance 4-stroke". Bad ***. This is the closest dealer to Kawasaki itself, so it's not a lie. I love Kawi, hope they take a big step with this one. What's your guess? A bigger Mojave? Knippenberg's? I said "I was hoping for that 250 2-stroke". "Yeah, me too".

I know that things have got to be up in the air with the release of Yamahas new beast! This is going to turn into a major pissing match between the manufacturer's as to who will produce the ultimate sport/racing machine. Maybe Kawasaki will drop a 750cc Ninja motor into a knarly Roll design frame. Who knows? Liberty Cycle in Liberty MO told me today that they will be getting a look at the new line in September at the dealers expo! I was really excited when I heard the initial rumors about the 400cc big bro to the Mojave but now the bar has been raised in a major way!

I would like Kawasaki to build a real high performance quad also. Kind of hoping for something with no reverse and no electric starter. Those things add weight and I don't want a heavy quad. Like I said, initially I am a little disappointed with the Raptor, although it is a BAD looking machine. I am definately getting a new machine for 2001, I just hope Kawasaki doesn't disappoint me.(They said we won't be)

Yeah, all I hear about is YAY!~ YAY!~ electric start! Reverse!..., I want kick start and no reverse simply because it makes a quad sportier. Besides, like you said, it makes it lighter also.

I agree, I don't want reverse or electric start... they add weight and it is just another thing that can go wrong...

I don't know if I can wait another 6 months before I get a quad... after selling my '89 250R I've had some serious withdrawls. I've found another one, it is thrashed, but I can rebuild it. I might just go buy it.

If the team green boyz let me down I ain't waiting another year. I will buy a second Banshee and put after market a-arms, and shocks on it. It is a little too heavy and the chassis ain't perfect but that motor is soooo nice. Any body got some info on what those chassis mods will do for me?

Now that is what I want to here! Can anybody confirm this or give more info. I have a Banshee but I can't even go into the Raptor forum. It seems that they have lost thier minds in there.

This is great news, it looks like they woke up & will not miss the sport quad revolution. Now if only Suzuki would do the same.

oh my gawd, oh my gawd! please let one be a 250 two-stroke! please please please!!!

The 400 super Mojave is a pretty much given. I've heard that from a couple dealers. I wonder if the other is a redesigned 250 (four stroke) Mojave?

I am just praying for a two-stroke... I WILL buy it if they make it!
