do you want to do away with the reverse switch so that you don't have reverse or change the switch to something else?

Are not worried about shifting into reverse when you don't want too? I have ridden Mojaves with the cable stuck making them like what you say and sometimes get reverse when I want 1st and about tear up the trans.

If you want to do that all you have to do is remove the cover over the reverse mechanism on the left side of the engine. You can then take the cable and **** off the quad if you want. Make a fixed pull from a piece of coat hanger that will keep the lever pulled to the frt. Seal up the hole where the cable went through with silicone sealer and put the cover back on.

If you do not want to remove the cover you can just pull the cable out and clamp it there some how.

Maybe your right, I deffinately dont want to end up in reverse trying to get into 1st. I guess i should just buy a new cable and that should solve my problem.

this happened on my old mojo, take the cover off and remove the shift fork thingy or just pull some wires and undo some screws, then you can shift into reverse, dunno how good it will go back together tho

There are still some mojave nuts thats good were you guys around in the good ol days when lurch and the hole mojave cult was in here

i guess it wasnt that long ago only 3 years maybe
well it was be 4 all the new models started to come out and the companys decided that maybe they do have the ***** do put out a race worthy bike again not that the mojave cant beat full blown r's and ex's on the track lurch proved that with his 330 beast well i guess i hadda jump off the bandwagon to and now own a 1986 houser leagers lownstar rath pep 250r but thats another story

any way the real question i have is what jetting do u recomend i start when putting on a clamp on air filter and needle and any info you have to help me make the switch

it is a 97 mojave with cobra exauhst and a uni clamp on at about 1700 feet
