The Mojave is a great quad for the money. It's great in the woods. It has good handling and a good motor. How big are you? Your size will help justifie if it's the quad for you.

First off, the Mojave is one of the best if not the best handling sport quads. 300ex's compare but aren't even close. The size you are, you might be a little cramped on the Mojave. I am 5'9" and 145lbs and mine fits me great. What type of riding are you going to be doing with it??

It would handle water fine. I would also look at the Yamaha Warrior. It is a lot bigger, and it has a bigger motor, which might help get you out of those muddy situations.

It's an awesome quad. My friend goes through plenty of mud and there's this one creek we go through all the time thats about 3 feet deep. He and his Mojave get through it fine. It impresses me. And hes about 5'6" 135 pounds. Plus he lime green color is awesome. And once me and him were riding with a 99 Warrior (His Mojave is a 00.)and the Maojave could do anything the Warrior was doin easily. Hope this helps.

The Mojave is a good quad. In a recent shottout between the Warrior, 300EX, Mojave and Blaster, they didn't seem to think so, but they seem to change their mind fast all the time. Its heavy weight is a down side big time. Its got plenty of torque but it will probably feel a little funny.
The handleing isn't the best, a 300EX has fas supior handleing. Maybe, you could LOOK at the Warrior too. It may fit you better and plus it has an extra 100cc's.
