Default beware of partsdirect.com

Back to the original topic.

I bought my Gators through Parts Direct, and had no problems at all. They had the lowest price I could find, had the tires in stock, and had them to my door in a few days. They had a real low price for the Gators on their web site. When I called to order them, the guy acted like that was the wrong price. But they did honor the internet price.

Just thought I would share a positive experience about them.

Anyone that says there is a restocking fee automatically doesn't have my business.

I don't know about luck, more the way you treat other people. Be forceful when necessary and kill them with kindness. I worked in customer service for a few years after college, if someone was calm and stated their position intelligently, I would try hard to get their situation resolved. If someone called screaming and yelling, being insulting or rude, sometimes their phone call just got disconnected somehow.

As far as a restocking fee, 20 % is a little much I agree. But if a customer orders the wrong part, they have to pay for the mistake. If the dealer orders the wrong part, they eat the cost.

I don't think I would have a problem ordering from them again, although I might be more cautious this time. Just because one person had a bad experience with them (we only know his side of the story), I don't think that is enough reason to call for a world wide boycott of this company.
