Default I Just got a great deal on a CAMO 650-finally, now what?

I've been drooling over the P-650's since they came out and wanted one in a bad way. But a new house and then new baby put those hopes and dreams waaaay back there on the back burner. Since my faithful Prarie 400 is paid for and has over 4300 miles on it without ever leaving me stranded I easily justified not buying a new atv anytime soon.
Then it happened one night at work. A coworkers brother is out of a job and needs money bad, so his new atv would have to go. My antennas went up and I promptly inquired about the ATV. Long story made short= 2003 camo prarie 650 with 56 miles on it for $4700.00. A test ride, trip to the bank and title in hand compared to vin# on back. Lady at Kawasaki verrified everything over the phone, and here I am!!
The proud new owner of a camo Prarie 650!

It also came with a handlebar gear bag, hand warmers and extended racks both front and back!

I brought it home, removed the 26" mudrunners from my prarie 400 and bolted them to the P-650. The 400 got the 650's leftovers for now. (my dad is getting the 400 and said he didn't care about no big tires).

SO, I'm gonna need me some new tires for this ride in the future. My 26" mudrunners will do just fine until I figure out what works best with this bike. Right now I'm leaning towards 27x12x12 mudlights rear and 27x10x12 on front. Is there enough gas tank clearance using the stock wkeels?
Any advice on what works best for 33% sandy mud with the rest being logging roads?

Does the 2003 CVT need to be tweeked with the black spring and shimm removal upgrade?

p.s.- my mudrunners were purchased newand put on my 400 when it already had 1200 miles on it. It now has 4300 miles on it and these tires look awesome for having been ridden 3100 miles on them (nearly NO pavement) the small grooves are still visible on the tops of each lug.

Any advice is welcomed................DaveC

YES THOSE SIZE TIRES WILL FIT, WHAT AN AWESOME DEAL YOU GOT.

THE MUDLITES ARE A GREAT ALL AROUND TIRE, I REALLY LOVE MINE.

YES THE BLACK SPRING IS RECOMMENDED BUT YOU USUALLY DON'T HAVE TO REMOVE ANY SHIMS.

GOOD LUCK!!

I would recommend the EPI balck secondary and bright green primary for anything over 25", you will like that combo........

Thanks for the replies guys. After riding it over the weekend at the deer lease all I can say is WOW.
I cannot believe they came out with a 700 as this 650 has way too much available power for 26" tires.
At first the wheel spin at any speed had me wondering how soon I'd be wrecking it, but I'm getting used to it. A light throttle finger is definately in order.

With my 400, I could ride it as hard as I wanted and reach it's full limits.
With the 650, my limits are reached well before this bikes are.

I'm loving it.

The 26" mudrunners work great on it btw.
