Default Diamond G Unlimmiter Module Question(s)

Kinda on the same topic I have had my p 700 (still new and stock) up to 68 and still climbing before I had to let off. Although I realize that most of the factory speedometers are off several mph it didn't seem like it hit the rev limiter. Just a thought I could see them doing in the low 70's. But to verify this I plan on strapping the old gps to see for sure.

Default Diamond G Unlimmiter Module Question(s)

Can we still get the DG Holeshot Module? Or is it off the market due to legal actions?

Nothing at all about it on their website??

Default Diamond G Unlimmiter Module Question(s)

I have a feeling this unlimiter is going to be BS just like the holeshot module is. The holeshot module basically does nothing. I'm still annoyed they didn't come out with the real deal CDI.

Prairie700, you have to call them.

Lightman, if making a replacement CDI was so easy, why has M.S.D. been telling everyone for over a year now that they are almost ready to release one? Maybe they do not deliver the performance that everyone has predicted they would?

Prairie633- nobody said releasing one was easy, where did you read that smarta**? DiamondG had a CDI they had been working on for a while, and yes it delivered incredible performance. You'll have to read back as to why they didn't release it, there were legal issues I believe.

Lightman, my point is that they did not release a "real deal" CDI after the first one because a re-designed cdi takes a long time to develop. Did you witness this "incredible" performance personally, or are you just repeating the same rhetoric that I have heard about how a cdi will make the Prairie keep up with Raptors and run 75 MPH? While I won't resort to name calling as you have chosen too, I question your education on the Holeshot device since it's effect can and has been tested and proven to make a significant difference. Perhaps I just don't understand that "basically does nothing" is the same as "it works"?

Default Diamond G Unlimmiter Module Question(s)

Did you see the timed drag race runs with and without all three 'holeshot' modules? The gains were so minimal I'd consider them worthless. I've also run my prairie against one with a holeshot module and it wasn't any faster, certainly not worth any money.

If you talked to people that were making it or did any research on the CDI, not just the random claims - you would have known they did realize significant performance from it. Again, legal reasons were the constraint...and again, nobody said it would be easy to make..

What kind of gains do you expect, based on your info? Everything I have heard about seems unrealistic.

The only races or runs I pay attention to is the ones where traction is adequate. Extra power doesn't help if you have too much wheelspin to begin with. I do agree that added power from 0 to 25 MPH has its limitations, but I'm beginning to doubt if anyone will make a performance replacement cdi. I wish Kawasaki would, so it would be around $230. Now that would be worth it to me.

Default Diamond G Unlimmiter Module Question(s)

I really wish someone would come out with a true CDI also. I think my sentiment is just that I'm annoyed nobody has and people keep coming out with these little modules that don't do relatively much. The tests of the holeshot modules were done on concrete(the first were on gravel), and they showed minimal gain. I think some of the claims above for this unlimiter module and projected speeds are a little optimistic to say the least. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Its just annoying nobody could or would come out with the full CDI..

Default Diamond G Unlimmiter Module Question(s)

DGRTECH

"Kissofdeath: Pulling up to 8500 RPM may not be possible with the stock cam. I am testing the upper RPM ranges now and the sudden dropping off effect seems to be a combination of things. Restoring the advance is helping, but the fall off seems to be dominated by the cam timing. I am still working on this, but so far the best improvement has been in the 10MPH to 60MPH range. I am running stock cams and only the black spring change in the CVT. I will be posting acceleration runs and top speed info once I have used the new equipment for verification. "

I have tried offset keys there is very little top end gain, some mid range. The claimes of pulling hard to the rev limiter are BS.
You need to change the cams and more ingition timing for top end power

I have done this deg the stock cams and adding timing also clutch work
pulls hard to 68+ need a better spot to test top end

the stock 650-700 is gear limited to 68- + 2 but will not pull hard past 7200 because of stock cam timing
