Default Progressive springs?

I read on some posts that some of you have a progressive spring for your prairie. I am assuming you are talking about springs for the front struts. Where did you get them and who manufactures them? I tried to do a search but came up with zero hits. Any help is appreciated.

I dont have a set but I know there is always a set on Ebay (think they start around $115). Do a search for Prairie 650 and it will come up.
Good luck

Default Progressive springs?

There is a guy on Ebay from Pike, Ky. He sells 'em for $110 PLUS $15 shppg. That is where I bought mine. Well worth the money, if you ride the bike hard. As in fast trail riding, say, with sportbikes. I TOTALLY eliminates the "Prairie Push" in the frt.end.
The springs will be about the 3rd thing I will do, if I buy the P-700 CAMO that I've been drooling over! #1--Real TIRES/"C" series wheels #2-black secondary/pink primary springs(clutch).

Ebay is the cheapest way I've found. Definitely worth the $$.

ELKA is now making front springs for the P650. They are a true "proegressive rate" spring while the Progressive brand springs are supposedly a "fixed rate" spring. The ELKA's are a little more expensive. Either choice would probably be excellent.
Here is a previous thread that talked about them. You can also search under ELKA.

In my honest opinion after riding an ELKA equipped prairie versus my Progressive Springs I could not tell any real difference in em. The ELKAs are more than a spring too I believe my friend replaced his struts and shocks in one of the packages he bought but they are Pretty LOL...

I have wondered if you could really tell or feel the difference between the Progressive springs and the ELKA springs. The ELKA's are about $60 to $70 more ($198 total price) than the Progressives and I not sure if there is enough of a difference to warrant them.

Have any of you added Works or Fox struts along with the spring setup? I would really like to get the works struts along with either the progressive spring or elka spring.

Well the difference between the Elkas and Progressives are simple. Both have a straight 600lb spring but the Elka's are shorter with an added 70lb spring. The Elkas are softer at the least preload. The 70lb spring takes care of the small arm jolting stuff. The have a more diverse adjustment adjustment range.
