Default First time plowing snow w/ 650!

I plowed snow today for the first time on my 650! I have the 60" Cycle Country plow w/ manual lift, and believe that is definately the way to go. Only had about 4" to push around, but have some large driveways, and had a blast figuring it all out. Even went over and plowed out my neighbor down the road, who's waiting for his winch mount to be shipped before he can plow (another reason manual lift is better). Can't wait for more snow to see what the 650 can really do ......

how high does your blade come off the ground? Is there alot of sag? I have a p700 and Im putting my plow on Wed. Just a little concerned about lifting it. I will you my winch. It just dont seem that it will get off the ground that high

Hi Guy
I have 650 prairie with 60inch cycle country blade along with 2500 winch. This system works great . If I can remember the bottom of the blade is about 9 inches off the gound when rised up. I would make one suggestions get rid of the dunlopstires and also install the progressive front spring system .The new front spring stops front end roll. We had alot of snow in NJ last winter. One storm we got 28 inches of snow just to much even for the 650. Any snow 12 inches or under is no problem
If you rise and lower the blade alot with the winch which you will the battery seems to get weak and engine stalls after few hours. I then have to use pull start then ride home and recharge battery.
Let it snow just not over 12 inches at a time

I heard about those progressive springs. How much are they or where is the best place to get them? I ordered these spring stiffeners for my p700 just for plowing hopefully it will get me by for awhile. What do you think?

Do search on e bay for Progressive spring. It took about 2 hrs to install .Well worth the investment. Rides alot better NO MORE FRONT END ROLL plus you can adjust them
